Fight like a girl.

Okay I don't want to get TOO excited but I got my biopsy results back. I called Dr. Tittensor's office and they'll call me tomorrow officially. But the test results say- negative for malignancy. And some other thing about being benign. So I said to the nurse on the phone- I know you can't tell me but what I'm seeing is....and I read her the results. I said so that sounds like it is not cancer. She said, I'm going to say yes but I'll have Amanda (RN) call you tomorrow.   So all that bleeding and pain and nonsense was for nothing. And honestly we didn't think it would be anything because that isn't how this cancer spreads. If I had cancer in the left breast it would most likely be unrelated to the other side and just be really bad luck. Plus it didn't show up on the PET ct or ultrasound/mammogram. I knew we just had to do it to cover our bases and not kick ourselves in a year if it turned out to be something.   So I'm doing way better today. I ...

Well I've decided I need to make a blog, some sort of place that everyone can go to get information. Everyone has been so wonderful to reach out and I can't keep up with all the sweet messages. I'm detailed in my story telling and I can overshare so here it goes. I'm starting at the beginning. Last November 2020 I went in for my yearly physical with Dr. Thorpe, my OB. I had a small lump on my right breast right above the nipple. It was uncomfortable and Dr. Thorpe said it was probably a cyst. It was about the size of a pencil eraser. He sent me for a diagnostic ultrasound and mammogram just to check. I had that done the end of January 2021. There was nothing seen on the images. They said maybe just some dense tissue.  Fast forward to October 2021. There was a lump in my right breast that just kind of showed up maybe in June or July.
